ANAT 316 Functional Human Anatomy II Units: 3.00
Gross and functional anatomy of the abdomen and pelvis, and lower limb, including blood supply and neural controls.
Offering Faculty: Faculty of Health Sciences
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Identify and describe the key anatomical features of the abdomen, back, pelvis, and lower limb.
- Using a regional approach, explain the anatomical relationships between the bones, muscles, and viscera and their associated nerves and blood vessels.
- Apply your knowledge to connect the structure of muscles, viscera, and their associated vasculature to understand their key functional roles in the body.
- Critically analyze anatomical structure and function to predict functional deficits resulting from anatomical alterations (for example: body mechanics and movement).
