&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Marsha Ireland&lt;/strong&gt; -&amp;nbsp;My name is Teyuhuhtakweku (Marsha) I am from Oneida Nation and Turtle Clan. I am Oneida. I am a Deaf, wife , mother , grandmother and great grandmother. My husband Max Ireland , is hearing who is member of Bear Clan. We have five Oneida Deaf children and also fourteen grandchildren that include two great granddaughters. I work to revitalized Oneida Sign Language (OSL). I have been invited to speak and engage with First Nations, providing presentations and education. I provide education regarding First Nations Deaf peoples lived experiences and the work with Oneida Sign Language. I have also provided our Thanksgiving address in my language, Oneida Sign Language. I consider myself an advocate and educator. Some people called me their elder. I work for our future generations, so their lives may be better than ours.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This session will introduce the concept of the accessible procurement life cycle and will explore the importance of accessibility and anti-ableist practices throughout the procurement process. Procurement of learning technologies, products and services is a central aspect of the education system. Accessible procurement conceptualizes a policy and practice framework to enhance the learner experience for students with disabilities, as well as the teaching experience for instructors with disabilities.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;Speaker:&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="headshot of Mahadeo Sukhai" data-entity-type data-entity-uuid src="/accessibility/sites/ahwww/files/uploaded_images/events/Mahadeo_Sukhai.jpg" class="align-right"&gt;Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai is the world’s first congenitally blind geneticist. Mahadeo is Vice-President Research &amp;amp; International Affairs and Chief Accessibility Officer for the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind), having previously served as a researcher at the University Health Network in Toronto. Dr. Sukhai is a leading expert on accessibility of graduate and postdoctoral research training in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and healthcare disciplines. Dr. Sukhai also holds adjunct faculty appointments at 鶹վ (Kingston, ON), OCAD University (Toronto), and Ontario Tech University (Oshawa, ON). He is the chair of the Employment Technical Committee for Accessibility Standards Canada, as well as the external co-chair of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Expert Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Systemic Ableism.&lt;/p&gt;
