Meet your Queen's Alumni NYC Branch Co-Presidents!
Aleksandra Popovik, Artsci'17, is Director of Sales and Marketing at CP Engineers in New York City. She specializes in growth strategy, business development, and partnership building across the engineering, technology, and international sectors. Aleksandra earned her MSc in Global Affairs from NYU and a BA in Political Studies from Queen’s University, where she was an active student leader. Her experience spans roles with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the United Nations, and the Consulate General of Canada, focusing on strategic innovation and community engagement. In her free time, Aleksandra loves skiing, book club, and travelling.
Geneva Bloemen, Com'18, currently works in Marketing Operations at Campari Group, supporting their full portfolio of brands, including Campari, Aperol, and Espolòn Tequila. Prior to this, she led the execution of sports partnerships and experiential events across multiple leagues for Molson Coors’ portfolio of brands. She began her career at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in Toronto after graduating from Smith School of Business in 2018, where she was also a member of the Queen’s Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team. Now based in NYC for the past three years, Geneva has attended several Queen’s alumni events and has enjoyed connecting with fellow Canadians and Queen’s grads. Coming from a family of Queen’s alumni (8!), she values the strength of the alumni community and is excited to help grow and support that network in New York.
