Queen’s is making it easier – and safer – to manage NetID accounts. Beginning Sept. 22, 2025, the way Queen’s NetID passwords are created, reset, and recovered will transition to a modern platform designed to strengthen security while simplifying the user experience.

This change means account holders will have more reliable ways to recover their accounts if they forget their passwords, with options such as using phone, email, or the Microsoft Authenticator app. Behind the scenes, stronger protections will automatically guard against compromised passwords and suspicious activity, helping to keep accounts secure.

No action is required from account holders in advance of the changes. These updates will take effect automatically and account holders will continue to sign in as usual.
