Both the  and 鶹վ have active construction and roadwork projects in and around campus. To keep yourself and others safe: slow down and stay alert when walking, biking or driving near construction zones, avoid entering construction areas or climbing on equipment (this poses serious safety risks), and remember that trespassing, vandalism, and theft at these sites can result in fines or charges.

University District Safety Initiative (UDSI)

The University District Safety Initiative (UDSI) is activated by the City of Kingston bylaw officers and police during times of year when large street gatherings have historically occurred, such as move-In and Orientation, Homecoming, and St. Patrick's Day. When the UDSI is in effect, individuals charged with certain offences may be required to appear in court, regardless of where they live. This is intended to promote safety and reduce high-risk behaviour in the University District.

The UDSI is in effect, Friday, March 13, at  12:00 am to Wednesday, March 18, at 6 am.
